Job Description

Provide support to government contracts office, primarily supporting post-award contract management activities. The Contractor's duties shall include but are not limited to: organize and maintain contract files, to include recording invoices and document/correspondence, distribution and filing of awarded contract documents; drafting correspondence, initiating Contractor performance evaluations, monitoring of reporting requirements, coordinating with Contractors in performing  their administration responsibilities, obtaining required legal reviews for post award contract actions, and other associated documents and procedures, in accordance with requirement.


Coordinate with the Contracting Officer and take appropriate action on all required contract administration actions and prepare appropriate documentation on any issues that may arise in the course of performance.  These include:  changes, disputes, work stoppages, problems with Government furnished property or materials, changes in scope or direction, replacement of key personnel, failure to make acceptable progress, default, payment problems, or unacceptable performance/deliveries.  The Contractor shall be responsible for initiating contract closeout. The Contractor shall assist with managing and administering contract closeouts, to include records retention, file maintenance/documentation, file conversion, document destruction, transfer of records, and physical contract file storage management. 


Education:  A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees; or at least 24 semester hours of study from an accredited institution of higher education in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management, with two year of experience; OR 3 years of experience with an Associate's Degree, OR 4 years of experience with no degree.

Experience: Individual should have experience in purchasing or procurement related position. Experience in supply and service contracts is preferred. Experience in clerical or technical support work that primarily consisted of typing, filing, maintaining or verifying records, or other kinds of activities that did not provide appropriate experience as described above does not qualify, whether or not it was performed in a contracting/procurement environment.
