Job Description

We are currently looking for a Director: Consulting and Professional Service (C&PS) Business Operations to support the business in achieving its strategic objectives.Our vision is to deliver exceptional value to our clients through our great people. What we will expect you to do:
As a Director: C&PS Business Operations, your key function will be to enable the execution of the global Consulting and Professional Services strategy by ensuring an optimal operational environment for C&PS managers and employees. The operational enablement through processes, methodologies, tools and systems should facilitate the implementation of the strategy; implement the achievement of business targets and the smooth operations of the C&PS division.Operating in a global environment across business units, service units and regions and working closely with the consulting teams and practice managers, you will be required to deliver on the following:

  • Take responsibility for ensuring that key policies, processes and methodologies relating to the C&PS are developed, implemented and adhered by all operating regions
  • Lead the design and enhancement of business processes, tools, and operating models to improve the productivity of the regional organisations whilst ensuring compliance to corporate policy
  • You will work with a variety of internal stakeholders to support global execution and alignment of systems and tools supporting the business
  • We will require you to identify the root causes of C&PS unresolved problems and support the change management program to implement the future state of the C&PS operating model
  • Applying your commercial acumen, we will need you to provide financial and operational analytics leveraging systems and manual data collection in alignment with the Group Systems Integration Services Operations governance
  • Take responsibility for the management and leadership of the team involved in methodologies, systems, and reporting and tools
  • You will be required to liaise directly with the regional operations team to develop, govern, and manage appropriate consulting and professional services operations


Key abilities required:

  • Knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs
  • A strong business and commercial orientation
  • Deep knowledge of operational and financial levers and metrics within a professional services organisation
  • Strong operational management skills with the ability to establish programs related to consulting and professional services operations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to present information clearly and succinctly
  • Strong leadership skills required to create and communicate a vision for the services operations role
  • The ability to recognise opportunities for enhancement and continuous improvement
  • Ability to represent complex ideas in a simple, easy to understand manner to a variety of audiences

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years' demonstrated ability and proven success in professional services operations, financial analysis roles within a high technology environment, preferably with international exposure
  • At least 3 years; as a professional service manager of a large business or country
  • Qualification in Technology and/or Business Management
  • MBA preferred
  • Strong understanding of the Consulting and Professional Services Practice, and how the business works
  • Excellent understanding of services operations and client methodologies, process management and formulation of policies, programs, plans and systems to meet commitments
  • Deep experience in financial analysis and analytics with respect to consulting and professional services business
  • Direct experience in multi-regional or country governance
