Job Description

What will you do?

Contribute to development and performance tracking of underwriting strategies for US and Canada lending products across all channels, including approve/decline decision making, line assignment, loan refinance, and
loan modification.

  • Senior member of North America Credit Risk team that has ownership over NA lending activities.

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining changes to underwriting, including: approve/decline, loan $ assignment, loan refinance, credit eligible criteria for marketing, risk based pricing,
    etc…

  • Review and monitoring of the loan portfolio including delinquency & charge-off, yield analysis, concentrations of credit, etc.

  • Customer for proprietary model (scorecard) development to better predict credit risk of applicants and existing customers

  • Analysis and assessment of prospective portfolio acquisitions and M&A deals

  • Active involvement in securitization and other funding-related activities

Qualifications

  • University degree in quantitative field (E.g., Finance, Math, Stats.) Advanced degree a plus.

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in consumer finance with substantial experience in
    credit risk.
  •  
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills. Ability to make effective and persuasive
    speeches and presentations on complex topics to senior management and external stakeholders (E.g., investors)

  • Strong quantitative skills. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and
    statistical inference, and fundamentals of regression analysis.

  • Strong grasp of financial concepts. E.g., discounted cash flow, terminal value, etc…

  • Ability to define problems, aggregate, facts and draw valid conclusions. 

  • Be able to independently analyze the performance of tranche (cohort) of consumer loans

  • Be able to forecast loan loss or revenue growth and provide strategic advice to management.

  • Must effectively diagnose and solve problems

  • Must prioritize across multiple tasks to optimally deploy resources
