Job Description

The HRIS Manager will have significant ownership for driving the successful delivery of systems and process solutions on our Global HR Systems Roadmap. The position will partner with the Director of HR Operations to identify enhancement opportunities in the development of a technology roadmap in addition to partnering with the business and IT teams to execute the projects. Responsibilities will also include input to project planning and administration, requirements, creating functional specifications, developing and executing test plans and scripts, and streamlining and improving current processes. The HRIS Manager will have strategic consultancy skills with proven analytical, project management and relationship building skills.  

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Serve as the point of contact for HR systems projects, acting as liaison between the users, IT teams and third parties: collaborate with all effectively to prioritize and execute projects against the technology roadmap.


2. Act as project manager for assigned HR technology or process projects, including managing project team activities, tasks, deliverables and timelines.


3. Assist in developing updated delivery standards for HRIS organization, including refined processes to gather business requirements, updated testing strategies, and enhanced business readiness approaches.


4. Recommend plans for continued process improvements, system enhancements and new applications to support business strategies and operational needs.


5. Provide subject matter expertise on HR systems or business processes based on areas or projects assigned.


6. Manage day-to-day activities within the HRIS team to support the HR, payroll and other interrelated functions.


7. Maintain awareness of vendor plans and the potential impact of those plans on current and future HRMS functionality. When apprised, the HRIS Project Manager will review impending business issues that will have a direct impact on the HRMS and provide senior management with an assessment of the HRMS impact, scheduling considerations and other information required for a complete business case.


8. Builds and manages stakeholder relationships with the ability to keep stakeholders engaged, responsible and proactive in working toward deliverable goals and objectives.



Qualifications

EDUCATION

  •  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

EXPERIENCE

  •  4+ years of Workday configuration experience required.
  •  Minimum 6-8 years of hands on HRIS experience with HR software applications.
  • Supervisory experience required

SKILLS

  •  Knowledge of HR functions and business processes (Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Organizational Development, HR Service Center).
  •  Critical thinker with the exception ability to model business processes and identify and resolve gaps.
  •  Understand business architecture framework (Structure, people, processes, and technology) that supports the organization’s strategy.
  •  Responsive, fast-paced decision making skills with the ability to drive business results.
  •  Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to scale communications to the seniority level of the audience including executive communications.
  •  Strong analytic, problem solving, consultancy and communication skills.
  •  Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  •  Strong working knowledge of HR systems in addition to MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project.
