We are a reputable, fast-paced, private optometry practice with offices in Overland Park and Gardner, KS. We are seeking a talented MARKETING SPECIALIST to work in our Overland Park office.

• Understanding of Optometry industry, and/or strong ability to learn in a team-oriented environment
• Plan marketing and branding objectives and strategies alongside practice leadership
• Analyze market trends and recommend changes to marketing and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback
• Prepare and adhere to budgets
• Oversee creation and delivery of press releases, advertisements and other marketing materials
• Design print ads and publications
• Ensure brand messages are consistent
• Gather and analyze patient and customer insight 
• Nurture and enrich all external perceptions of the company and growth of market share
• Manage and maintain SEO presence and website to engage patients and customers on all social media platforms
• Deepen relationships with all media to ensure the most effective messaging and positioning of the practice
• Lead all areas of content generation and production across all media platforms
• Engage other organizations within the community
• Collaborate with optical sales and leadership to develop strategic partnership activities and oversee implementation
• Develop and execute new concepts, business models, channels and partners to position the practice as an innovator and leader
• Work alongside the team as needed to ensure successful patient care

• 1-2 years of experience in social media and/or community engagement
• Passion for building and engaging online communities and brand advocates
• Understands fundamentals of social platforms, including functionality, emerging trends/technologies
• Strong project management and organizational skills, high level of attention to detail
• Collaborator by nature, able to work effectively with teammates in a dynamic work environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure while managing various competing demands
• Professional, courteous demeanor, positive attitude, strong work ethic
• With excellent references and proven work history
