Job Description

EAD Constructors is looking for an experienced Construction Manager will be responsible for managing the successful completion of the field operations for commercial and industrial projects. Effectively lead and communicate with a multi-disciplinary Construction Team to achieve desired results. This position will report directly to a Project Manager. 

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a professional and satisfactory relationship with the project manager, Owner, subcontractors, suppliers and any other project stakeholder throughout the execution of the project(s)
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the construction effort including field activities of all company personnel on assigned project(s)
  • Interface with client representatives, A/E representatives, and other third parties related to construction activities
  • Review and approve construction related portions of project specific proposals and subcontractor invoices 
  • Review site and general arrangements for constructability, receiving, and storage plans  
  • Review and support the implementation of Safety and injury reports procedures 
  • Review subcontractor schedule, work plans, and manpower reports 
  • Assist in preparing a subcontractor's bidder list for all construction contracts
  • Review the construction specifications and drawings prepared by engineers
  • Assist in the evaluation of construction bids and provide recommendations
  • Responsible for cost and schedule execution and reporting of construction activities 
  • Represent construction at project meetings
  • Support the development of the monthly Owner's Progress Report
  • Responsible for adhering to all EAD's safety standards and practices
  • Perform additional duties as assigned. 


Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or other related field preferred; or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience
  • 10 years verifiable, relevant construction management experience 
  • Experience in large commercial and mid-industrial construction projects 
  • Experience with clean room construction a plus 
  • Demonstrated leadership and personnel management skills for managing work assignments and employee performance to ensure the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff
  • Proven safety track record
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Project or an equivalent scheduling program
  • Familiar with Oracles Contract Management or equivalent required; Primavera P6 experience strongly preferred
  • Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal project management staff and client staff 
  • Possess and able to maintain a valid driver's license

*EAD will provide training, administrative/engineering controls, and personal protective equipment as necessary.
