Photograph the world for a year with Go Ahead Tours: A call for submissions

Go Ahead Tours, a member of the EF Education First family of companies, is searching far and wide for an essential talent to join our team—a photographer we will engage with a one-year contract to document our tours and the moments our travelers share while experiencing the world. This role will play a key part in a significant rebranding we’re undertaking, and the selected candidate will help us to completely redefine the story of who we are. We’re not interested in postcard-style shots of pristine monuments, images that feel like they are objectifying locals, images we could buy from stock, highly processed skylines or warped perspectives. We’re looking for Life. Moments. Authenticity. Adventure. We want someone whose work will drive the editorial story revealing what the world is really like, as experienced by the wonderful people who travel with us.

• You take great pride in your work and constantly drive yourself to improve

• You geek out over great photography

• You’re available to travel virtually non-stop and at a moment’s notice for one year

• You have a passport

Requirements:

• A true passion for travel. (We can’t stress this enough.)

• A strong portfolio demonstrating natural, authentic, optimistic work

• An excellent eye for capturing unique moments & insights

• Excellent organizational skills

• Training and/or experience as a photographer or photographer’s assistant. (You don’t need to   

   be professional, but you need to be devoted to photography and have a body of work that

   demonstrates your skill and vision.)

• Strong & light-handed retouching skills

• Expert skills with Adobe Photoshop/the Adobe Creative Suite in a Mac environment

This position will offer all-expenses paid travel all around the world—likely traveling to all seven continents. You’ll also earn a salary, but that’s not the reason to consider this role. Consider it because it’s more than a job; it’s a life-changing adventure of epic proportions.

We’ll be selecting five finalists to go on an international tour in October. After reviewing the images each individual captures on tour, we’ll choose one of the finalists for the position, and that person will photograph the world with us under a one-year contract.
