Travel Operations Coordinator

Synopsis

Are you passionate about travel? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment? Can you work both independently as well as part of a team? If so, you might be the ideal Travel Operations Coordinator for EF Education First, the world leader in international education.

 

The Role

We are looking for a few good people to join the Travel Department within EF as Travel Operations Coordinators. In this role, you will be handling all aspects of arranging flights for EF customers to and from their tour. You will be responsible for ensuring that both budgetary as well as quality guidelines are met for every itinerary. You will be working extensively with multiple computer systems including Amadeus, the airline reservation system used by EF.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: understanding EF airline contracts, booking flights, liaising with airline representatives, negotiating group fares, handling changes to reservations, dealing with emergency flight related issues, booking customized flight options, issuing tickets and communicating internally with the Sales & Customer Service Departments and occasionally directly with customers regarding their flights arrangements.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 0 to 2 years of experience
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Some prior Travel industry experience is ideal but not required
