Regional Placement Manager

EF Foundation for Foreign Study

Synopsis

In this dynamic role, you’ll oversee aspects of a high school foreign exchange program in various regions of the U.S. You will secure host families and schools for incoming students by motivating field staff, recruiting host families and implementing creative public relations strategies. Your ability to build relationships and motivate a diverse group of volunteers is crucial to this role, as is the ability to work effectively with your domestic and international colleagues.  Your outstanding communication and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, good judgment, and sincere passion for international education will ensure the experience of a lifetime for all or our exchange students. As part of a driven, goal-oriented and hard-working team, you’ll gain invaluable experience and skills in areas such as marketing, volunteer management and cross-cultural communication.

 

In this role you must be able to think quickly on your feet, multi-task, and provide the team you manage with guidance, professional development, support, and the tools to be able to succeed in their jobs. You are incredibly proactive and feel comfortable networking and reaching out to members of your community.  You have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. You are a quick learner, your communication skills are superior and your commitment to growth, customer service and quality is second to none.  You have an entrepreneurial spirit and a think outside of the box mentality to bring forward new proposals and ideas that will continually enhance our exchange program.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 60-80 International Exchange Coordinators (IECs) - Includes on-going mentoring, professional development, and managing regional growth.
  • Hit weekly placement goals for your region
  • Develop relationships with new schools and manage existing school relationships.
  • Regional networking and brand building, including event management
  • Work closely with Program Support Manager on all aspects of region management including IEC development, growth, hiring planning, and regional goals.
  • Work closely with the Recruitment team to analyze target areas for IEC Recruitment.
  • Participate in on-site team meetings for your region.
  • Ensure that IECs understand Compliance requirements for placements.
  • Travel Requirements: Regional visits with IECs (amount of travel will vary based on region); attendance at a regional meeting and national meeting per year; work weekends and late nights during peak season.

 

Requirements

  • Ability to manage high volumes of phone calls and emails on a daily basis
  • Strong desire to achieve goals
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure timely, accurate and         professional communication both within EF Foundation for Foreign Study as well as with our Host Families, students and IECs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and situations simultaneously.
  • Possess strong critical thinking skills in order to effectively manage and cultivate continuous education to your region
  • Passion for cultural exchange and ability to increase customer satisfaction
  • High level of professionalism in all interactions with staff, IECs, families and schools.
