EF Educational Homestay Programs is a non-profit division of Education First (EF). We bring students into your community from other countries so they may improve their English language skills, make lifelong friendships and travel abroad to learn about the culture of their hosting community. Students come for 2-4 week programs and stay with volunteer host families from the local community. 

We're looking for a special local person who will find wonderful host families as well as interact daily with the students and families while they are here for 2-4 weeks in July 2014. You will be the face of the program in your community and the main point of contact for host families as you promote cross cultural connections. This role requires you act as a cultural ambassador in your community by leading a local program. This high-energy positions' dual role is described as follows:

Host Family Recruiter
• Must be well-connected in the greater Olympia community
• Must be a highly motivated self-starter with creative problem solving skills
• Strong networking skills- must interact directly with community members and organizations to generate potential host family leads
• Persuasive communicator, able to inspire others
• Research, coordinate and confirm recruitment events
• Attend recruiting events and generate interest in our summer programs 
• Follow up with all potential host family leads- including securing an application, performing a home visit and checking a family's references

Program Leader
• In charge of all facets of the summer program at the local level with support and guidance from local and national EHP staff
• Must enjoy working with children ages 8-18 as you will supervise and engage students during course activities 
• Strong sense of teamwork- will collaborate with EF Local Teacher and EF Foreign Leader prior to students' arrival and throughout the program
• High professional standards- must be prepared and available 24/7 during the program in case of student or host family incidents or emergencies
• Plan, organize and confirm the logistics of all course activities with the support from the local management team
• Coordinate and facilitate the host family orientation within two weeks of the groups' arrival
• Meet and greet students at the airport at arrival and departure
