The Role

As a Data Warehouse Developer, you will be contributing to a growing Data Warehouse environment.  We are building a well architected environment to support fully developed data analyst teams.  You will be involved in all aspects of building new data marts and growing existing ones as described below.

• Work with Data Analysts to define data requirements
• Create data feeds using SSIS, Qlikview and SQL Server Replication
• Develop stored procedures, functions and other SQL objects needed to supply various applications with accurate data
• Performance tune SQL, ETL and Qlikview data models
• Responsible for troubleshooting, error resolution and general oversight of the daily data feeds load
• Communicate changes in scope, effort and timeline with project team
• Serve as lead resource on other data feed projects that may arise
• Prepare Unit Tests for all work to be released to our live environment.  This includes data validation scripts for data sets releases or changes.

Requirements

• A BS in Computer Science or Engineering
• 5+ years of professional development experience
• A solid understanding of Relational Databases
• Advanced Data Modeling – ability to tailor design to specific need
• Strong SQL Server Transact-SQL skills required
• SQL Server 2008+
• SQL Server Integration Services
• Proven ability to understand business concepts and relate them to data
• Experience in Business Intelligence Tools, QlikView preferred
• Exposure to Agile and SCRUM a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to learn business concepts and analyze them
• Adept with details and technical information
• Excellent creative and analytical skills
• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and methodologies
• Dashboard design a plus
