The Role

At EF College Study Tours, we work with professors throughout the US to plan and travel on short-term study abroad tours for groups of students, supporting them throughout the entire process to create transformational international experiences.  As a University Partnerships Manager, you will play an integral part on your sales team, in an outside sales role. The goal is to drive regional growth, build brand awareness and generate leads by finding new opportunities to develop and support study abroad program with the key players at each college that you (and your team) identify.  You will also be expected to maintain existing relationships and build a strong network with administrators and faculty to grow the partnerships between the institution and EF.  To drive growth, you will prioritize strategically about the best opportunities in your region, actively prospect, navigate through varying complex structures and processes to identify the right contacts, and engage with all levels of seniority within the institution.   You will need to clearly explain EF’s differentiators in a competitive marketplace, identify the customers’ needs and obstacles, and creatively create a partnership structure that is effective and beneficial for each unique college.  This individual should be independently driven but team-oriented to work closely on common sales strategy and share account information with their inside sales counterparts

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute long term sales strategy and forging relationships with administrators and faculty
  • Drive new sales through prospecting and managing new leads
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers
  • Stay organized and strategic
  • Work with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships across departments
  • Forecast sales with consistent and accurate sales reporting
  • Present information effectively and respond to questions/inquiries from co-workers and clients in a timely manner

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Travel is required. Must be able to travel 3 weeks p/month, with 15+ meetings per week.

  • Ability to build strong relationships externally and internally
  • Immediate ability to execute a prospecting plan with weekly updates to management team
  • Proven track record in outside sales with 1-2+ years experience focusing on New Business / Sales and Account, or 3-4 years inside sales experience (with customer facing experience)

Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong Presentation Skills on the phone and in front of prospects
  • Demonstrated understanding of fundamental sales methodology
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines
  • Driven team player with strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office applications including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Knowledge of the regional higher education landscape and established contacts is a plus
