Business Analyst

Cultural Care Au Pair

Cambridge, MA

 

We are looking for a talented Business Analyst to play a crucial role in creating and maintaining the strategic partnership between business needs and technology delivery in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will work closely alongside the Business Solutions team managing multiple projects across all business divisions to define and implement new, creative solutions. This full-time position is based in the Cambridge, MA office.

 

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Analyze business and user needs, document requirements and revise existing system logic as necessary
  • Perform business process redesign and create documentation as needed for new technology
  • Elicit requirements for using interviews, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with business and technology stakeholder groups to analyze information needs and business requirements.
  • Challenge business on their assumptions of how technology will support their business objectives
  • Perform and coordinate quality assurance testing
  • Drive projects from inception through requirements gathering, development, testing, release and end user training.
  • Projects include implementation of new features in custom built applications as well as existing Salesforce organization using industry best practices.

The successful candidate:

  • Can critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Is capable of identifying and clarifying the needs of the business owners/project champions by independently facilitating interviews, meetings and workshops.
  • Is highly organized and detailed-oriented to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously across organizational and geographical boundaries.
  • Takes pride in producing accurate documents and can uphold and improve documentation standards. Is proficient in documenting functional requirements, business rules and use cases.
  • Is self-driven, self-directed and demonstrates leadership by playing an integral part in delivering successful projects on time, both large and small.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including users, managers and software developers.
  • Experience writing software requirements and specifications.
  • Proven experience at driving consensus across multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven project management experience. Working experience of PMBOK or PMI/ PMP certification a plus.
  • Minimum of 6 months Salesforce work experience is preferred. Certified Salesforce administrator is a plus. Strong interest in learning Salesforce.com a must.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes (including waterfall and agile/scrum) are strongly preferred.
