Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Supports the day-to-day execution of general ledger impacted processes, including support to clients as they work with and understand these processes. Performs accounting functions specifically in the areas of account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting and discrepancy resolution.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Previous work experience not required.
OR
Associate’s degree (2-year) from an accredited institution in Finance, Accounting, or a related field plus a minimum of 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related professional area.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Managing Work, Projects, and Policies
Coordinates and executes accounting tasks and projects as assigned.
Leads and follows up on internal audits to ensure compliance with Accounting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all departments.
Ensures adherence to applicable local and international laws related to fraud prevention and debt collection.
Delivers accurate and timely financial data in reports, presentations, and other formats.
Analyzes financial information to evaluate results, propose solutions, and resolve issues efficiently.
Compiles, codes, categorizes, calculates, audits, and verifies financial data as required.
Reconciles credit card transactions and balances corresponding ledgers.
Reviews group contracts and, when necessary, conducts credit checks for direct-billed accounts.
Maintaining Finance and Accounting Goals
Consistently meets or exceeds financial performance, budget, and departmental goals.
Establishes clear priorities and work plans to ensure timely and organized execution.
Submits required financial reports and documentation within established deadlines.
Ensures accurate documentation of revenues, expenses, profits, and losses.
Monitors all applicable taxes, ensuring they are properly accrued, collected, and reported.
Maintains a robust accounting and operational control environment to safeguard company assets.
Executes period-end closing tasks accurately and efficiently.
Provides guidance and support to other departments regarding accounting procedures and budget control to ensure optimal use of financial resources.
Demonstrating and Applying Accounting Knowledge
Applies solid knowledge of accounting principles, systems, and procedures.
Demonstrates understanding of returned check and write-off procedures.
Proficient in preparing and interpreting the Gross Revenue Report and consolidated deposits.
Stays current on industry trends and applies new knowledge to improve performance.
Utilizes accounting software and tools to develop spreadsheets, manage data, and process financial information.
Exercises sound judgment to ensure all processes comply with legal and regulatory standards.
