Job Description

We’re good at hosting our customers’ applications but we need to be great. In the first six months as our Cloud Operations Manager, your focus will be to:


• Improve our cloud compliance by establishing and refining our processes and/or documentation
• Improve our efficiency by designing processes that will eventually transition to the day-to-day operations of your future Cloud Operations team
• Review and respond to hosting requirements from customers and prospects
• Deploy new customers and migrate existing customers to new releases
• Advise our development team as they build our next-generation application

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive customer satisfaction by providing world-class application availability and protection of customer confidentiality.
• Establish 24x7 performance monitoring and response protocols.
• Participate in the investigation and recommendation of data center assets including hardware (such as servers, hard drives, memory, and network bandwidth), software (such as performance monitoring), and services (such as disaster recovery and penetration testing).
• Ensure efficiency and predictability of deployments and upgrades.
• Provide on-call support outside of normal work hours and work days.

Qualifications

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• 5+ years of operations experience
• Management experience in a technical environment
• Working knowledge of Cloud infrastructure components and Windows systems administration
• Experience managing networking infrastructure and monitoring
• Troubleshooting skills that range from diagnosing hardware/software issues to large scale failures within a complex infrastructure
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, with both technical and business people in terms they can understand

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE DESIRED

• Experience in a high performance global cloud enterprise operations environment
