Job Description
As an Ocean Import Agent, you will be responsible for logging & preparing files for import, ensuring they have complete and compliant documentation along with monitoring arrival and invoicing files to ensure a smooth and reliable Import experience for the client. You will have the autonomy to provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally while applying the company standards and processes to effectively complete Import requirements.
- Customer Service: You will be responsible for communicating effectively with customers and to ensure a compliant and complete shipment process in a timely manner, documenting customer needs for future use.
- Operational Excellence: You will take ownership of understanding and complying with Expeditors internal process standards, to complete timely, accurate and compliant documentations, customer billings and system updates.
- Service Provider Relationships: As an Ocean Agent you will build strong partnerships with Service Providers including shipping lines, transport companies, and freight yards to ensure you client is serviced to a high level.
Qualifications
- Previous experience within the logistics field or equivalent training of 2 years
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Tertiary Educated
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
