What will you do

 You will join our engineering team and be responsible for CAM software programing of our CNC router table for vessel components in both aluminum and wood materials. This includes drafting vessels parts, and components in 2D and 3D modeling software

·         Conduct CNC programming tasks:

  1.           produce material takeoffs for material orders;
  2.           nest parts for optimal cutting time and efficient material usage;
  3.           select and/or program cutting parameters for the CNC machine.
  • Responsible for weight study and analysis of project materials;
  • Completing As Built and Assembly drawing packages for specific projects;
  • Opportunity to learn about Small commercial and recreation vessel design;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Attention to Detail with a high level of Accuracy;
  • Spatial Acuity and Analytical Skill;
  • Ability to Interpret and Apply Instructions/Diagrams/Schedules/Regulations;
  • Experienced and Proficient in CAM programing of CNC machinery;
  • Rhinoceros® 6 proficiency (other similar program knowledge will be considered an asset);
  • RhinoCAM proficiency preferred. other CAM software considered;
  • MS Office proficiency – Excel required;
  • Fusion 360 software experience preferred.

Working Conditions

  • 18+ years of age and legally authorized to work in Canada;
  •  Work is performed in an office adjacent to a metal manufacturing environment;
  • Noise level is occasionally moderate. Manual dexterity is required to use computer, phone, and peripherals;
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch;
  • Noticeable pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands exists.
