Job Description

Ebates Canada is looking for an individual to work closely with the Director of Marketing to manage social media programs and assist with digital marketing campaigns for customer acquisition and retention. Your job will focus primarily on social marketing and the development of engaging content and campaigns to increase our social footprint. You will also assist in the ideation and execution of additional online campaigns including lead generation, referral marketing and shopper retention.


Key Social Responsibilities:

  • Together with the Director of Marketing, define and execute social marketing plans for Ebates Canada and Ebates Russia each quarter: this includes social marketing (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, Instagram etc.).
  • Responsible for creating engaging daily content for use across all of our social media platforms to promote our brand to drive member acquisition and shopping.
  • Responsible for replying to fan questions in a prompt manner and working closely with the Customer Service team to ensure all queries are resolved.
  • Responsible for managing the social media promotional calendar, working closely with our Sales Associate to secure prizing for merchant partners.
  • Manage end-to-end implementation and execution of all social media contests, events and parties including creative development, rules and regulations, translations, filing with the Regie (when needed), and prize fulfillment.
  • Working with Russian Marketing Specialist to provide guidance and assistance for social media strategies, contesting and promotional activities for Ebates.ru social channels.

  • Responsible for managing the social media budget including Facebook Ads, bonus incentives for fans and contest prizing.
  • Partner with key influencer advertisers/bloggers whenever possible for content and ideas.
  • Meet and exceed your KPIs on a monthly/quarterly basis: these will be defined to include followers, fans, engagement, member sign-ups and conversion to FTB (first time buyers).
  • Responsible for reporting on the above metrics and providing insights and recommendations for continued growth.
  • Monitor competitive best practices, keep up with industry trends and continually introduce new ideas for improving performance


Other Responsibilities:

  • Work with external agencies, other Ebates offices, freelancers and translators to coordinate work as required, including building quotes, managing budgets, and delivery of assets.
  • Manage and track performance of our referral program including defining quarterly bonuses, managing budget expectations, creative development and marketing communication.
  • Responsible for daily monitoring of our top merchants sites, marketing emails and social channels to identify key sales and coupons and ensuring they are communicated to the team and loaded on the site.
  • Regularly report to management on all activities and KPIs for customer acquisition campaigns, referral program performances and other ad hoc projects.
  • Consistently maintain an up-to-date understanding of our shopper and member behaviour and reporting, along with industry trends and competitors’ activities.
  • Participate in any other marketing activities in a supporting role to the Director of Marketing as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in online marketing or social media – experience in ecommerce is preferred
  • University degree, or equivalent, with marketing or business major
  • Experience running social media channels for consumer-focused web sites
  • Experience in execution of online contests and promotions
  • Must have tons of passion for online shopping in Canada
  • Must be innovative, creative and able to work in an extremely fast paced environment
  • Excellent written communication skills, experience writing for social channels and the web
  • Must be an avid social media user with a knack for building an online community and organic acquisition
