Job Description

We are currently looking for energetic people to fill immediate openings in the San Jose/Fremont area.

Behavior Therapists are direct representatives and reflect the values and mission of Ed Support Services.

The Behavior Therapist reports to the Program Supervisor

Essential Duties and Skills of the Behavior Therapist include:
1. Embrace and exemplify Ed Support Services' mission and vision
2. Participate in New Hire Training
3. Solid understanding of ABA principles.
4. Participate in ongoing Professional Development opportunities, as offered
5. Follow Guidelines for Responsible Conduct as outlined by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board
6. Implement behavior programs for clients with fidelity
7. Collect data daily for each program
8. Graph data daily
9. Communicate any questions regarding programs to Supervisor immediately
10. Communicate any parent information regarding scheduling conflicts and/or changes in client schedule adherence to Supervisor
11. Participate in ongoing supervision
12. Participate in direct observations by Supervisor
13. Maintain professionalism at all times, including professional behavior and attire.
14. Communicate with parents when cancellations are necessary by following the company's cancellation policy
15. Participate in team meetings, as scheduled
16. Meet all deadlines with regards to schedules and timesheets
17. Respond to all company communication within 1 business day

Educational Qualifications Needed:
Possess a Bachelor's Degree or are currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in one of the following programs: psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development or related field

Work Experience Requirement:
6 months experience working with children, special education a plus.
Spanish speaking a plus but not mandatory

Physical Demands: sitting, kneeling, squatting, lifting up to 50 lbs, running, twisting and turning, reaching above shoulders; frequent physical transitions.

10-20 hours per week positions available
 In-Home Sessions:  Shifts are between the hours of 2pm-7:30pm and days can vary.

Compensation:
- Starting Pay range is determined on experience and educational qualifications
-Competitive benefits available for Full Time employees (30 Hours or More).
- Mileage reimbursement and travel time reimbursed (must be traveling directly from one client assignment to the next). Mileage and travel time is not reimbursed for commuting time from or to your home.

Training Policy:

 

In order to provide the best quality of service to our clients, every Behavioral Therapist is required to attend mandatory training at the beginning of employment.  This mandatory training must be completed before a Behavioral Therapist is assigned to any case.  This training will be provided by the Director of Training and Development  .  The training will consist of educational presentations of work-related scenarios, watching the videos and in-house training.
