Since 1995 Eligibility Consultants, Inc. (IIIECI) has provided eligibility services to hospitals in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.  Our clients include, but are limited to, Baylor Scott and White Hospital, Texas Health Resources, Wise Regional Medical Center and UT Southwestern. 

Eligibility Consultants, Inc. helps patients obtain state and federal programs to pay their medical bills. These programs include, but are not limited to, Medicaid, Medicare, social security, Crime Victims Compensation, kidney disease programs, county indigent, and hospital charity. Our employees provide services such as pre-admit screening, insurance verification, ER evaluation and medical collections.

Job Description

Seeking collectors with experience and knowledge of medical collections to collect payment from self pay patient’s onsite at client hospital facility. The successful candidate will be customer service orientated. We are at the hospitals 24 hours per day 7 days per week. Available shift 3 days 7:00a to 3:00p and 3 days 3:00p to 11:00p. MUST be available to work weekends.

Qualifications

OVERALL PURPOSE

  • Primarily responsible for discharging private pay patients in the ER.
  • Verify demographic information.
  • Collect payment for services rendered or a deposit from each patient.
  • Screen patients for government assisted programs.
  • Assist patients in completing paperwork necessary for acceptance into government assisted programs or charity.
  • Educate patients on programs if the patient is not eligible for assistance and cannot pay the bill.
  • Input all patient/account information into computer daily.
  • Complete and fax daily report to manager on a daily basis.


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • High school graduate, some college preferred
  • Must type a minimum of 30 WPM with 100% accuracy
  • Skilled in use of keyboard and Microsoft products/format
  • Excellent and professional communication skills
  • Flexibility in regard to work schedule


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in collecting money/payment
  • Comfortable in a hospital setting
