Job Description

This is a temporary, full-time, position starting January 27, 2014 and continues until April 16, 2014. Full-time during that period, 8:30am to 5pm, with some need for Saturday work in March and April. Performs a variety of administrative duties in support of all departments within Elko & Associates, Ltd, including, but not limited to;

- Protect confidentiality of client's information, including documents and verbal communications and shredding paper as needed.
- Scan documents and review them on screen for clarity and accurate scanning. Return documents to originator or place for shredding as designated.
- Assist with assembling, preparing, and sending client tax returns, and/or communicating with client to coordinate in-person delivery/pickup.
- Answer incoming telephone calls. Answer inquiries or direct calls as appropriate. Prepare accurate written messages when necessary.
- Occasionally perform tasks outside of the office (post office, bank, food supplies, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned.


- High School diploma or GED. At least one year of administrative experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Experience with modern business office procedures and methods including telephone communications, office systems, and use of personal computer. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing demonstrating excellent customer service skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time. Ability to hear accurately and see documents on a computer. Significant additional working hours may be required as needed. Some lifting is required.
