Description:

Ensure the integrity, quality, and security of all software and hardware changes by establishing validation processes and releases for successful deployment to the production environment. Configure Test Environment, Create Test Data Sets Build Management ? Create Build Package, Install Build Package Deployment Verification ? Verify Build Package Installation in CERT, Perform Package Verification in Production Test environment setup Test data setup Test environment scheduling Software deployment Version control Deployment validation Build packaging, Excellent Communication Skills. 

Must have a solid background in Release Management as a leader, as it pertains to the job role you see posted here. Must have a thorough understanding of the QA processes 

Must have experience leading people (NOT just projects).

Sr Technical Manager Agile Development Team - CTH 

Role It's an exciting time here in the Client. IT department. 

We are expanding our retail operations globally, requiring IT to deliver a software platform that can quickly be adapted to different country requirements. 

We are engaged in shifting our development culture away from the traditional 'waterfall' methodology and embracing the Agile approach to software development. We are seeking out team-oriented individuals that enjoy delivering technology that amazes and delights our business partners and are ready to join us in the journey as we take our IT organization to the next level. 

The Senior Technical Manager is primarily responsible for three areas: managing technical staff, overseeing application development and support efforts, and contributing to the creation of a nimble and responsive application development organization. 


Major Responsibilities include Is influential and engages actively in building out a dynamic and productive development organization and continuously improving practices and methodology 

Works with the Sr. Director of Application Development to plan, implement, and support needed software solutions. 

Has overall accountability for successful application project delivery. 

Ensures that projects deliver not only on functionality, but also continuously improve how the organization delivers solutions Provides guidance and direction for project managers, solution architects, developers, QA resources, and technical specialists on application projects. 

Responsible for effective career planning and development for technical staff. 

Guides technologists to make sound decisions that support company priorities. 

Fosters open communication within and between teams. 

Stays abreast of industry trends and best practices. 


Requirements 

Bachelors Degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience.

3-5 years of experience in developing large-scale applications. 

Proven experience as a people manager. Understanding of online apparel retailing business processes 

Able to lead and direct work of others, including development, test engineers, and architects Demonstrated ability to empower people and integrate teams. 

Full lifecycle software development experience, ideally based on Agile principles. 

Solid knowledge of industry standards and techniques in development and testing. 

Experience in working with version control and defect management systems.

Familiar with object-oriented analysis and design.

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to influence technical discussions and decisions. Self motivated; able to work with only moderate supervision. Knows how to have fun at work.
