Job Title:    Senior Manager,Technology Standards Office
Location:    San Diego, CA 92121

The Sr. Manager will be responsible for working with Standards Office, corporate laboratories and local business units in identifying, investigating and reporting on new technologies, advancing positions in de jure and de facto standards meetings, and working with partners to advance capabilities for consumer electronics.

Qualifications
•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required or equivalent 
•Must have 7 to 10 years of related engineering experience 
•Experience in consumer electronics is required 
•Standards forum experience is required, especially in the following: 
•    Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA)
•    3rd Generation Partnership Program (3GPP)
•    Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
•    International Telecommunications Union (ITU):
o    Radiocommunication Sector
o    Telecommunications Sector
•    Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C) 
•    Organizations engaged on establishing standards and protocols for:
o    Cloud and other distributed architectures for computing, storage, processing and communication
o    Machine to Machine communication (M2M)/Internet of Things (IoT)
o    Telecommunications, including broadcast and Mobile
o    Technologies for the protection and secure delivery of high value content, such as video
•Must possess a high level of knowledge and experience in:
•    Cloud and other distributed architectures for computing, storage, processing and communication
•    Machine to Machine communication (M2M)/Internet of Things (IoT)
•    Telecommunications, including broadcast and Mobile
•    Technologies for the protection and secure delivery of high value content, such as video
•    Surveillance and Safety
o    Imaging and Networking
•High level of knowledge in advanced consumer electronic technologies is required 
•Developing, defending, securing, and managing budgets in a corporate setting 
•Managing professional and support personnel in  a corporate setting 
•Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment 
•Must possess the ability to manage and coordinate several simultaneous projects at one time. 
•Must have great interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and strong presentations skills 
•Experience with Japanese language/culture is a plus 
•Must be able to travel domestically or internationally as required
