Job Description

We are currently seeking a full-time PRINT Chemistry Lab Intern to play an important role in supporting our research and development efforts across multiple programs in the life sciences. Compensation will be provided based on experience.

This position offers challenge and growth opportunities for a highly motivated individual. In this role you will:

  • Learn and perform PRINT particle fabrication; screen particle compositions to achieve project goals efficiently and accurately
  • Learn and perform formulations, operating laboratory equipment, generating and manipulating data, as well as updating computer database 
  • Review and research project background and status with mentor

Qualifications

B.S. (received or anticipated in Dec 2015) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a similar field

  • Applicants should have a good knowledge of general chemistry and experience in laboratory techniques such as determining mass on an analytical balance, measuring pH, mixing stock solutions, etc.    
  • Participate in all phases of research including planning, preparation, calibration, application, evaluation, data analysis, maintenance, and when necessary, appropriate disposal
  • Design and conduct experiments, with mentorship guidance, within a defined project and have good documentation practices
  • Draw sound scientific conclusions based on data analysis. The results of these studies, and the conclusions generated, will impact research plans and advancement decisions on the experimental materials
  • Be engaged in team activities, understand project goals, and take part in data interpretation.
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-disciplinary team environment is essential for success
  • Must possess strong communication skills
