Job Description

This compensation professional will be responsible for all creating, managing, and administering various compensation programs to ensure the company’s practices are competitive, consistent and in compliance with state and federal laws. Job duties will include oversight of club and corporate salary guidelines, annual compensation practices as well as various short-term and long-term incentive plans.

This position will report into the Vice President of Global Benefits, Compensation and HRIS while working closely with the Sr. Vice President of Human Resources and the other members of the HR leadership team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop the agendas, analyses and materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors for executive compensation equity plans
  • Develop presentation materials for senior management related to current projects across compensation functions
  • Assist in the coordination of regulatory-related compensation processes and drafting responses to regulator requests
  • Assist in the design of compensation programs, including modeling of financial costs, disclosure considerations and drafting communication materials
  • Assist in the review of global legal / tax issues associated with the equity program, and resulting design change
  • Establish and maintain annual salary guidelines for club management and all corporate positions including job bands, cost of living differentials and incentive plan criteria
  • Create Job Evaluations as necessary for newly created corporate positions to align with established job bands
  • Lead annual compensation programs for club management and corporate positons including our new hotel group
  • Manage the administration of the Company’s long-term incentive plan participants including new participants, forfeitures and related communications
  • Partner with outside compensation and legal firms as assigned to ensure our plans are competitive and compliant with all federal and state laws
  • Support, advise and analyze the HR leader regarding various compensation laws and trends in the cities we do business including FLSA and minimum wage programs

Qualifications

  • Certified Compensation Professional from World at Work or similarly respected compensation organization
  • 8+ years of progressive compensation experience
  • BS degree within a related study
  • Deep understanding of all aspects of compensation trends, regulations including 409A and FAS123, and best practices
  • Consulting and in-house compensation experience preferred
  • Outstanding organizational skills to quickly learn our business and deploy tactics to compliment historical success and growth
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience to effectively gather, analyze and utilize key data that supports business and HR organization
  • Sense of urgency to meet the demands of our fast, high growth environment
  • High integrity and confidentiality
  • Ability to build relationships and influence senior leaders including “C Suite” in the various businesses
