Job Description

We are looking for a Chicago Marketing Manager with 5-7 years of blue-chip agency or client-side marketing experience who is looking to work and learn in a dynamic, entrepreneurial and exhilarating environment. 

The Chicago Marketing Manager will be the local ambassador of the brand and who connects Equinox to the right people and the right places. They will responsible for the implementation of local marketing strategies that result in lead generation and membership acquisition. They will be responsible for local partnerships and events as well as supporting integrated programs designed to increase the quantity and quality of our leads and drive sales. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter with passion for fitness. 

This position is based in Chicago and reports to the Director of Marketing, Central Region in Dallas, TX. 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the brand ambassador to ensure that Equinox is well connected and properly represented across all marketing touchpoints; including but not limited to attendance at all Equinox events as well as key Chicago cultural events
  • Create and develop strategic partnerships with local organizations and influencers with the goal of heightening brand awareness, generating leads and delivering sales
  • Management and execution of all regional events, projects and partnerships 
  • Proactively develop and help execute local marketing plans for Chicago clubs that are results driven and measurable
  • Consult with Chicago clubs on all in reach and out reach events to ensure brand alignment and execution
  • Act as the marketing liaison between the corporate marketing team, regional sales leaders and the clubs to understand market dynamics and support local teams
  • Work with in-house creative services team on creative development, production and campaign implementation, tracking and analysis
  • Analyze marketing efforts to improve ROI and deliver lower cost per acquisition

  • BS/BA required 
  • Preferably 5-7 years of marketing experience
  • Initial 6-month contract position with potential to renew or turn into fulltime
