The Senior Qualified Plans Operations Associate ensures that we have proper authorization and direction to execute a transaction.  The individual monitors all client transactions, handles customer service inquiries, and facilitates communication between Equity Trust and a third party vendor who handles the administration of the Qualified Plans.

Primary Job Responsibilities/Functions:

  • Field inquiries from third party administrator and plan sponsors; account balances, trade information, distribution follow up, tax reporting questions, and alternative investment questions
  • Take trade instructions from clients, and use appropriate tools to correct deficiencies
  • Send client executed investment documents to internal teams to be processed in the appropriate time frame
  • Ensure proper communication with the plan administrator including: monitoring daily trade files, settlement, and daily over draft reviews
  • Facilitate the transfers and rollovers to and from other custodians
  • Process distributions

 

Qualifications

Essential Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • 5 + years of experience /knowledge of 401K and Defined Contribution Plans required
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • CRPS, QKA, QPA or other relevant industry designation highly desired
  • Experience with third party administrator / vendor relationship management required
  • Demonstrate effective time management and attention to detail
  • Proactive person who is results driven
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Relius administration software a plus
