Job Description

Community Organizers (COs) are the face of the Erick Wyatt for United States Senate campaign in communities across Texas, working to grow the grassroots movement for electoral success in 2014.

The primary responsibility of an CO is to recruit, manage, and train volunteers to organize their communities and neighborhoods into teams that register, persuade, and motivate voters.

Their responsibilities include but are not limited to developing a plan to organize their neighborhood based on its unique characteristics; identifying and cultivating volunteer team leaders; planning and executing events and trainings; building relationships with community leaders; and ensuring data integrity.

COs report directly to their Regional Field Director.

Qualifications

   ability to organize a community.
2. Why are you interested in volunteering as a Community Organizer for the Erick Wyatt for United States
    Senate campaign?
3. Describe a time when you had to be persistent in order to reach desired results. What actions did you
    take to oveercome the obstacle?
4. Organizers often times work in diverse communities with individuals from various backgrounds .
     Describe a time when you have worked successfully in a diverse setting.
These skills are not a prerequisite for consideration as an Community Organizer. Knowing what particular skills you possess enable senior members of the campaign staff to place organizers accordingly.
