About Eurofins IT Solutions India Pvt Ltd

Eurofins IT Solutions India Pvt Ltd (A CMMI Level 3 Company) is a 100% full owned subsidiary of Eurofins. This young captive centre located in Bangalore was established in 2012 to be the largest IT Solutions group within Eurofins to cater to all the internal IT business needs. The primary focus of IT Solution group will be to develop the next generation LIMS (Lab Information Management system), Customer portals, Ecommerce solutions, ERP/CRM system & B2B platforms for various Eurofins Laboratories and businesses.

POSITION TITLE (ENGLISH):      PRINCIPAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER                  

REPORTING TO:                          MANAGER

SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES:

 Contribute to the design, development, troubleshoot, test and document a range of applications developed using VB6, C, MS SQL.

• Interact in a constructive manner with Business Analysts in order to:
  • Estimate the complexity and the workload;
  • Choose the most appropriate technical solution to meet the user requirements;
  • Reach the optimal requirement artifact that will lead to a working software solution.
• Interact in a constructive manner with other IT teams.
• Master and apply team technologies and processes, and take active part in creating Eurofins and team success.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues

Job Description:

·        7 to 10 years of experience with developing software solutions in VB6, C, ASP and MS-SQL.

·        Experience with design, coding, testing, and implementation of software

·        Experience in an agile environment would be a plus.

·        Strong working knowledge of application development using Asp

·        Strong experience in designing and working with n-tier architectures

·        Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices

·        Should have worked in an AGILE practice methodology (preferably SCRUM)

·        Able to provide technical recommendations and solve technical problems

·        Must be a quick learner

Technology skills:

·        VB6 (mandatory)

·        C Programming

·        MS SQL Databases, T-SQL

·        Asp, Javascript, HTML, CSS

·        Prior experience in Laboratory processes.

·        Strong and proven background in Information Technology

·        Strong design skills,  Solid principles

Technology – Nice to have:

•        Experience in modern Object oriented programming language.

•        Experience in AWS cloud platform

Methodology skills

•        AGILE Development (Scrum)

Personal Skills:

•        Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

•        Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Fluent in English. Nice to know French

•        Should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills

•        Ability to work in a complex international environment

•        Experience in Agile (Scrum) methodologies would be a plus.

•        Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.

•        Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary
