We are looking for a few more developers to work on our product that runs customizable applications on high-end customer facing electronics. Our platform is currently used to create custom interfaces and features on Set-Top-Boxes (cable boxes), wall mounted touch panels, touchscreen desk phones, and interactive digital signs. This software allows guests to dim the lights using their television remote control, adjust the room temperature from a touch screen built into the wall, or even interact with the sign in the lobby. New features can be added remotely, so the product we make adds near limitless potential to your in-room electronics.
Device-side software is written in C++, so qualified applicants will have a good amount of experience working with C++. Libraries such as the QT Framework are used in many parts of the code, making familiarity with QT a big plus, but is not required. This software will be running on devices with somewhat limited resources, so a good understanding of memory management and threading is necessary as well.
While not necessarily in the scope of this job, there are other skills useful to our company that would be considered a plus, potentially for future projects. Our server-side software is primarily written in C#. Any additional .NET experience especially in C# would be a nice plus. Most of our hardware runs a custom media player, so potential job candidates are encouraged to mention any experience with GStreamer, Phonon, or really any work with video codecs. We could always use more developers with experience in Linux kernel development, or other low-level (driver development) experience.
