The FLM+ Public Affairs group helps organizations serving the business of agriculture and the life of rural communities develop strategic positions and shape opinions on issues important to their stakeholders. The FLM+ Public Affairs group extends beyond strategic consulting into implementation by helping clients define their positions and messaging on priority issues and effectively advocate for their stakeholders’ best interests. The Associate Client Relationship Team Leader (ACRTL) is a critical position within the organization. The ACRTL has an important role in managing the day-to-day activities relating to accomplishing client team tasks and intended outcomes. Working closely with the Client Relationship Team Leader (CRTL) or other client team members the ACRTL will complete a variety of administrative and/or client related tasks. The position performs a variety of duties centered on ensuring that project tasks and assignments are completed with accuracy, quality and on time. The ACRTL will participate in internal client team meetings and complete administrative activities to ensure proper internal communication processes are followed, and that team account plans are followed to the standards and expectations set forth by each client team assigned. Critical to the position is the ability of the ACRTL to function within a highly productive and collaborative-based team. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day activities for each client team assigned
  • Assist or complete and distribute Action Reports for every client touch point and/or internal status meeting
  • Manage client project activities
  • Maintains master calendar of client activities
  • Maintains comprehensive client contact database
  • Plans, develops and executes on assigned project work as appropriate
  • Reviews project outputs and work for quality
  • Supports accountabilities for CRTL and other team members
  • Participates in internal and external client team meetings as possible and practical
  • Assists CRTL and Account Supervisor in working with resource management team to identify, secure and budget appropriate resources
  • Serves on multiple client teams

Education and Experience

  • B.S. in Ag business, marketing, journalism, communications and/or related field is required
  • Up to three years work experience with an Ag business and/or Ag-related association, non-profit and/or other related business entity is preferred
