Job Title: Drive Tester Job # 10376 Looking for a Drive Tester based out of Pensacola, Florida to be responsible for performing competitive assessment of key cellular/PCS competitors using AMPS, CDMA, TDMA, and GSM technologies. This includes collecting baseline data; post processing data; generating plots and reports utilizing a standardized company reporting tool; and analyzing Comarco baseline data. Average Yearly Compensation: $39,693 to $46,706 Additional Responsibilities:  Driving approximately 80% to 90% of the time  Data collection with tools such as DataPro and assisting System Performance Engineers in analyzing the collected data for the purpose of improving system quality  Work closely with System Performance Engineers to resolve customer complaints by performing specific data collection, Call Detail Record (CDR) search batch, drive testing, post processing, and plot/report generation  Ensuring all test equipment is functional and calibrated on periodic basis, as well as making recommendations on future equipment configurations  Provide guidance and support to the Associate Technician – Baseline and performing all maintenance related to the Comarco equipment  Collect and utilize hourly and daily service measurement data to optimize the network and reduce lost calls and ineffective attempts  Create new cell site translations and neighbor lists in support of regional build program activity  Support System Performance and RF Engineers in evaluating and improving areas of poor coverage by identifying system performance problems  Report problems to appropriate engineers  Resolve customer service issues  Assist in implementing solutions  Collect drive test data in support of performance evaluations and build program prioritization; troubleshooting and resolving customer complaints and trouble tickets  Create maps for network optimization and planning  Conduct special engineering studies (PLMs, RF Call Trace) Required Skills:  BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience  1-3 years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications’ industry  General understanding and or working knowledge in one or more of the following platforms and/or technologies: o System Performance including: RF System Optimization techniques for voice and data for Nortel, Motorola, and/or Lucent infrastructure
