Job Title: Drive Tester Job # 10376 Looking for a Drive Tester based out of Pensacola, Florida to be responsible for performing competitive assessment of key cellular/PCS competitors using AMPS, CDMA, TDMA, and GSM technologies. This includes collecting baseline data; post processing data; generating plots and reports utilizing a standardized company reporting tool; and analyzing Comarco baseline data. Average Yearly Compensation: $39,693 to $46,706 Additional Responsibilities: Driving approximately 80% to 90% of the time Data collection with tools such as DataPro and assisting System Performance Engineers in analyzing the collected data for the purpose of improving system quality Work closely with System Performance Engineers to resolve customer complaints by performing specific data collection, Call Detail Record (CDR) search batch, drive testing, post processing, and plot/report generation Ensuring all test equipment is functional and calibrated on periodic basis, as well as making recommendations on future equipment configurations Provide guidance and support to the Associate Technician – Baseline and performing all maintenance related to the Comarco equipment Collect and utilize hourly and daily service measurement data to optimize the network and reduce lost calls and ineffective attempts Create new cell site translations and neighbor lists in support of regional build program activity Support System Performance and RF Engineers in evaluating and improving areas of poor coverage by identifying system performance problems Report problems to appropriate engineers Resolve customer service issues Assist in implementing solutions Collect drive test data in support of performance evaluations and build program prioritization; troubleshooting and resolving customer complaints and trouble tickets Create maps for network optimization and planning Conduct special engineering studies (PLMs, RF Call Trace) Required Skills: BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience 1-3 years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications’ industry General understanding and or working knowledge in one or more of the following platforms and/or technologies: o System Performance including: RF System Optimization techniques for voice and data for Nortel, Motorola, and/or Lucent infrastructure
