Findaway is dedicated to delivering simple and immediate access to content - wherever you are, whenever you want!
We’ve had the privilege of being recognized multiple years in the INC. 500/5000 fastest growing companies in America, in the Weatherhead 100 as one of the fastest growing company in Northeast Ohio, NorthCoast 99 “Best Places to Work” with a distinction award for “Passion” and on the Plain Dealer’s Top Workplaces list.
Our Core Values were firmly entrenched in the workplace prior to the launch of our first product, and will remain the most important building block of Findaway World as we continue to grow. We believe that you either find a way, or make one. Findawayers believe nothing is impossible. We work hard, but we laugh a lot. A lot. And we think that is the way it should be.
Do you thrive in a fast-paced challenging environment? Do you believe in conversations over emails? Do you possibly have a slight addiction to coffee, and maybe a hidden skill in making the best espresso drinks? At Findaway, we don’t just have jobs; we build careers, relationships, and achieve success as a team. We hire, retain, and continue to develop the best talent in the industry!
Our ideal candidate has a passion for web development and isn’t afraid to show it. They will be interested in honing their craft, and staying on top of new services, methodologies, and tools by constantly reading developer news, listening to podcasts, and attending (or even speaking) at local developer meetups. We love to see contributions to open-source projects, and nice GitHub and CodePen profiles.
- Bachelor’s degree, or a very strong portfolio
- 3+ years of front-end development experience
- Must be intimately familiar with HTML and CSS (we use SCSS)
- You have a portfolio with multiple responsive websites
- Experience building web applications that consume and manipulate data through a RESTful API
- Familiarity with Python is also a plus, but not required (we’ve written and manage a few internal tools in Python)
As a team, we’re interested in producing the best work we can. That’s why we rely heavily on collaboration and the best tools out there. We want a teammate who will push us to do better work, challenge the way we do things, and harness the power of the web to not only make pretty websites, but also to change the way our business works with new tools and workflows.
We use a lot of tools to help us get our work done better and more efficiently. Our team regularly uses Git and GitHub, SCSS, Webpack, Gulp, npm scripts, Bower, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack. Know a tool that should be on this list? Let us know (and tell us why) for extra bonus points.
