Job Description


  • Report directly to Accounting Manager and work within financial reporting systems implementing operating procedures to optimize productivity and efficiency of organization’s accounting practices
  • Manage accounts payable process including the forecasting of accounts payable disbursements, processing vendor bills, expense reports, handling vendor inquires, and maintaining grants of authority
  • Perform sales commission reporting, sales and use tax reporting, and other ad hoc requests as needed
  • Fixed asset reporting including acquisitions, dispositions, inventory, and asset tagging
  • Assist with royalty reporting facilitated by Business Intelligence System (BI)
  • Identify internal control issues around accounts payable function and make recommendations to address
  • Analyze and report on travel & entertainment expenses; drive initiatives for process improvements and cost control
  • Support the month-end close process by providing analysis and preparing journal entries (balance sheet reconciliations, monitoring expense levels, bank reconciliations, etc.)
  • Ensure adherence to established standard operating procedures and assist in the development of newly required processes with assurance of proactive interpretation and application of GAAP
  • Analyze financial and accounting issues within the general and subsidiary ledgers
  • Support streamlining of accounting and financial management processes, improve the utilization of the accounting and transaction management systems, and automate financial processes and practices

  • Good understanding of GAAP, the fundamentals of financial controls and general ledger management practices, and a familiarity with monthly and annual general ledger close process and practices
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, or actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting displaying a commitment to expanding the development of their finance and business experience
  • Minimum three years of related experience
