Forensic Building Science (FBS), is an Engineer Consulting firm that investigate and diagnose causation for various types of building failures. We are a solution based company in which collaborative thinking, data gathering and individual opinions are fostered.

Job Description

Ideal candidate will be well spoken and able to convert complex issues into layperson terms, review technical standards, draw conclusions, and prepare reports. They must be licensed in at least one state with an undergraduate degree from and accredited 4 year engineering school. Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines. Must be able to work well with others.

Qualifications

Must be a licensed P.E. in one or more states.

Must have experience in investigating & reporting on the following loses:

- Hail & Wind*
- Fire*
- Hurricane*
- Tornado*
- Flood
- Explosion
- Earthquake
- Construction Defects
*Preferred

Experience in any of the following considered a benefit:
- Certified Roof Inspector
- Haag Certified
- Expertise in Building Codes
- Exactimate or similar estimating database
- Trial Experience as Expert witness
- Insurance Appraisals
- Report Writing

Ability to climb roofs and lift up to 50 pounds


Willingness to travel up to 50%
Inspect exterior facades & roofs (both slopped & low slopped)
