Our client is a key player in the Nigerian oil and energy sector. They now have a requirement for continuous improvement leader (process innovation).

Job Description

Act as continuous improvement partner to significant members of the value stream (company VPS, Directors and Senior Level Managers), advising / leading them on how to prioritize projects for maximum impact, and advising/leading teams through projects using the appropriate tools/methods for the type of project.
Required:
• Bachelor of science in business
• Minimum 10 years professional experience
• Must possess experience/knowledge of services business and processes
• Must be proficient in Microsoft office suite
• Experience in the application of lean/six sigma principles
• Process innovation/continuous improvement techniques
• Familiar with the ERP systems (Oracle, Sap, JD Edwards)
• Positive & success oriented attitude
• Willingness to mentor others
• Manage relationships and build networks
• Find common ground and build rapport
• Passion for process innovation
Preferred:
• Masters in business administration
• six sigma black belt
• technical capabilities in area of discipline such as cpa for finance

Qualifications

Complexity of position is deep, with the need to understand issues and break them down to manageable solutions that can be implemented within the framework of the company (Oracle ERP). Impacts of projects are in the millions of dollars per year in opportunity cost savings. Decisions will drive future activities within the value stream, potentially impacting the processes of hundreds of people at a time.

Must be able to collaborate with senior leaders within the organization on prioritization and problem solving solutions, then lead those efforts without much guidance from these leaders, while remaining accountable for delivering agreed upon efficiencies and improvements.

Must have lead teams through C. I improvements before, with knowledge of tools and methods, and impact on ERP of the improvements. Be able to translate complex job specific details to GIS people as well as people doing the work to come up with the most efficient solutions.

Must be adept at selecting the right tools to ensure success, with self-sufficient data gathering and ability to translate data into information to support decisions and directions taken on projects.
