Job Description

The purpose of this role is to maximize sales opportunities in carriers and the general market, develop and nurture a close knit relationship between the organization and carriers, customers and authorities to achieve set objectives and goals. This role will also ensure right and sufficient information sharing with partners and customers in a speedy and effective mode.

Core Responsibilities Include;

  • Develop and lead execution of Retail Standard Operating Processes and Best Practice at  National Level
  • To develop & lead execution of initiatives to grow business within Operators. It includes:
    • developing and translating consumer insights into business building opportunities,
    • Designing sales drivers,
    • Appraising promotions,
    • Provide Account Management input into innovation programme,
    • Budget control &
    • forecasting and Preparation of monthly Management reports
  • Implement Key Distributor (KD) Best Practice manual across the region.
  • Manage & take full accountability for the end to end sales for devices & solutions throughout the channel / distribution networks. (i.e. Sell-in , Sell-thru , Sell-out )
  • To take ownership and manage key 2nd Tier Customers.
  • Drive thruput(sell in-sell through-sell out) in the designated Solution Points with special focus on Solutions Sales
  • To interface & lead BB,iphone and BE phones engagement with local operators and seek out area’s of collaboration with a focus on solution selling.
  • Develops and implements local operator account strategy and plan - aligns this with global operator account strategy and plans.
  • Understands operator’s strategies and business plans. Use this understanding to drive the design of customized solutions that add value for the customer and BB,iphone and BE.
  • Co-creates new business models with the operator, based on a thorough understanding of consumers, operator strategy,iphone’s and BE’s and BB’s devices, services and solutions portfolio and current and future competitive landscape. 
  •  Leads local operator solution sales team - develops sell-in plan, sets up technical and commercial workshops, closes commercial items, agrees on the legal framework, sets up local solutions go-to-market team, sets joint KPIs with operators on solutions, follows through launch of solution in the market place and initiates needed corrective actions vs. pre-agreed KPIs.
  •  Maximizes operator marketing spend on selected joint solution opportunities.

Qualifications

Qualification and Experience:

  • MBA - Ideal
  •  Bachelor’s Degree - Marketing or other business related degree
  •  Any other qualification that augment the role
  • Experience in product development, strategic planning, and implementation;
  • Proven track record in developing and executing results orientated sales and marketing strategies; building brands and launching new products and services
  • Practical experience of brand management and activation campaigns;
  • Experience of success in using different marketing channels to build a brand;
  • Experience of consumer research and using this to drive the implementation of the brand;
  • Project management experience within a formal project management methodology and of managing various projects;
  • Experience briefing, managing and working with external suppliers (including marketing agencies) and internal stakeholders to ensure activities are in line with strategy and on brand
