Job Description
Purpose of position:
To develop an individual in the area of Kronos Administration (system, application, trouble-shooting, configuration of practical pay rules—for new roll-outs and the maintenance of existing sites, clocks, etc). Kronos has become a critical system for Foster Farms, as Timecards are NECESSARY to pay employees. Currently, 9600 out of 10800 hourly employees use Kronos for Timecard data collection.
To maintain the Kronos system infrastructure to include administering Hyperfind queries, managing the clock infrastructure, developing and testing Kronos policy and procedure, maintaining / updating online structure, and coordinating system security access. This position is responsible for conducting the Kronos training for users, as well as acting as a Kronos “change” manager to include onsite facility interaction with Workforce Managers in order to utilize Kronos efficiently and in a way that allows Production to perform their jobs better. The position also acts to readily back up some Payroll functions when necessary (such as timerecord entry, spontaneous Accounting requests, partnering to review misc. department work etc).
Essential job functions:
Act as Kronos Change Manager to include inquiring and understanding Operational Labor needs in order to analyze Kronos capability, and proceed to create and design system to meet those needs
Provide support for spontaneous requests from Accounting, HR, Production and other areas and will direct Work Force Managers in their maintenance and use of Kronos to include trouble-shooting, researching, and reconciling data
Will actively partner in the design and rollout of Kronos at additional sites
Execute & Evaluate miscellaneous Company-wide system audits on a routine basis and review employee and timecard data to support compliance and pay integrity, as well as support employee and time record data integration across Kronos and Lawson systems.
Maintain online structure for Kronos: Rate sheet reviews, Group schedules, operating group/employee selectivity security, comments List, function access profiles, data access profiles, pay codes, pay rules, employee groups and labor level transfer sets people records for Workforce Managers, obtain, install, and update employee and/or manager licenses participate in the upgrade of software/install of service packs and holiday table rules
Maintain / coordinate Kronos security access & review / develop/ coordinate/Hyperfind Query Administration
Conduct WFM Kronos Training; update training manual as necessary
Manage clock infrastructure: firmware upgrades, replacements, trouble-shooting
Document & test Kronos-Payroll policy / procedures
Backup Misc. Payroll functions: Payroll processing, Ad hoc reporting
Additional Functions:
Work with miscellaneous auditors as needed.
Qualifications
Requirements:
BA/BS Degree in Accounting/Business Administration (or currently pursuing) or equivalent experience
One-three years working experience with Kronos system, strong understanding of Kronos software
Prior work experience exhibiting strong leadership; trainer experience preferred.
Demonstrated technical ability to be able to explore/understand/apply attributes of a software
Strong problem-solving, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; strong customer service values
Able to work independently and work with all levels of management and must have a high degree of organization and prioritization skills and be detailed oriented.
Must have strong computer skills; MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Must be able to communicate effectively with varying levels of management and team members, both written and verbal
Must be willing to travel
