Job Description

Purpose of position:
The Creative Services Coordinator is responsible for the implementation and execution of all creative/marketing deliverables and provides administrative support to the Creative Services Team. She/he will project manage, traffic and track creative/marketing assets including point of sale materials, packaging, shipping containers, digital graphics, brochures, company or product fact sheets, logos or other promotional products.

The coordinator will partner with internal client/project requesters to understand creative needs and process incoming creative project requests assess project needs, coordinating day-to-day project workflow and provide client interface. Oversee the entire life cycle of creative projects from concept to design, development, proofing and delivery. This position is also responsible for managing external print resources and obtaining/negotiating print costs for POS and promotional assets. Additionally, the coordinator with own/maintain the digital assets database including file retrieval and archiving as required by department.

Essential job functions:

Manage project workflow from point-of-entry to final delivery.
Manage digital assets and ensure accurate/timing coordination with marketing, sourcing, R&D, customers, and others.
Approve all creative projects for compliance with professional, company policy standards and brand strategic requirements. Understand and ensure creative deliverables are within project parameters, marketing strategy and brand guidelines.
Provide administrative support to CS Manager
Research and secure print cost for POS and Promotional projects
Interface with client/customer to ensure project timelines are met.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing/advertising or graphic/communications with minimum two-three years creative/marketing experience

Must be available to work 28 hours a week. The hours of the position may increase to 40 hours a week,

Two-three years of experience working in an in-house creative environment or agency as project, traffic or production coordinator. .

Ability to drive projects from start to finish, multitask and effectively prioritize deadlines with minimal supervision.

Works with a high level of accuracy and sense of project ownership.

Outstanding written and oral communication skills with excellent organizational disciplines.

Must be a team player with ability to problem solve quickly, incorporates input from others and provide a succinct line of communication.

Effectively partners with cross-functional teams (internal/external), builds strong relationships and shares best practices freely. 

Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including design and business teams, marketing leadership, sales reps and external resources, etc.

Thorough understanding of design workflows, trafficking/project management, print methods and current web/digital capabilities.

Understanding of digital file management processes, file compressions, file formats (i.e. EPS, layered files/mechanicals, etc). 

Proficient in Mac’s Virtual Windows based software (i.e. PowerPoint, Word and Excel) 

Awareness of current Mac based design software (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)


Preferred Requirements:
Experience working with CPG (consumer packaged goods) products – food industry

Understanding of photography (Beauty shots vs Silhouettes)

Versed in various substrates and print methods, etc (Litho vs Flexography)

Awareness of (HTML, DreamWeaver, File Maker, Flash, Acrobat)

Creative thinker who is intellectually curious and driven by new learning’s and continuous growth.


Physical Requirements:
Capable of working in a fast paced, high pressure situations consistent and reliable attendance

Ability to travel, ability to obtain valid CA Drivers License & obtain reliable transportation for business travel
