Job Description

Production factors:
a. Manage the maintenance of good ranch conditions and animal husbandry practices to assure optimum bird health and growth. Follow all the best management practices and animal welfare issues. Comply with bio-security and disease prevention programs. Maintain good sanitation, rodent control and weed programs.
Scheduling:
a. Maintain labor hours in accordance with established standards
b. Coordinate with the Field Supervisor for delivery of poults, bird moves, marketing and ranch turn-arounds
Labor Relations:
a. Aid in the training of ranch personnel
b. Maintain a fair and solid relationship with all reporting employees, as well as upper management.
c. Strive for excellent safety record. Be concerned with the welfare of all company employees
Reporting:
a. Complete bi-weekly timecards for all reporting employees
b. Report morality and feed inventories on a weekly basis
c. Collect ending inventories on propane, fee and bird number at move/market

Qualifications

Must have one to two (1-2) years in a live poultry environment
Must be able to live on company-provided housing and respond to adverse conditions affecting the turkeys any time of the day or night
Must have good interpersonal and organizational skills
Must be able to operate various types of farm equipment
Must have good mathematical skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
Must be able to effectively communicate in English, which includes reading and writing
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to work in a dusty environment
Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
