Purpose of Position:
Collection and generation of management reports on the performance of the Corvallis Corn Dog Plant and San Francisco Foods manufacturing operations in terms of yields, spending and labor efficiencies.

Essential Job Functions:
Preparation of all daily and weekly plant performance reports including meat yields and labor efficiency reports and preparation of weekly P&L’s for management.

Research questions from management regarding weekly variances.

Accounting Close to include preparation of journal entries for period and year-end close and preparation of Accounts Payable accruals for the Plant.

Prepare and explain period-end variances and comparative reports.

Prepare account analysis worksheets and take corrective action to resolve any issues resulting from their preparation.

Special Projects/Other Support

Prepare, review and assist plant management with bill of materials and assist in taking of physical inventories on product and materials both onsite and located at cold storage warehouses.

Assist in preparing annual budgets

Develop and update detailed desk procedures for all recurring job tasks.

Additional Functions
Develop, analyze, and provide plant management with appropriate analysis, which reveals and defines problems that can be acted upon by management to reduce cost, gain efficiencies, and redirect efforts.

Assist plant management and Senior Accountant Supervisor in special assignments as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. degree in accounting or related field.

One-three years accounting experience

Computer skills- SAP, OP, Clear Access, Word, Excel, Access 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must have the ability to understand complex costing models.

Be a self-starter, detail-oriented, well organized, with the ability to multi-task.

Have the ability to work within strict timeframes and prioritize in order to meet deadlines.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Two-four years plant accounting experience.

Analytical ability and experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have reliable transportation.

Must be able to have consistent attendance.

Must be able to sit for long periods.

Must be able to work on the computer for long periods of time
