Job Description

Purpose of Position:

Costco Account Manager position will be responsible for managing all sales aspects of the Foster Farms business for D17, D18 and D19 in the Costco Bay Area, Los Angeles, San Diego and Texas regions.

Essential Functions:

Present new products with a clear understanding of the production process, quality attributes and POD’s vs. the competition and internal retail products.

Work with internal teams to coordinate appropriate inventory levels, warehouse locations and lead times.

Proactively forecast and provide sales budgeting/planning via the Bottom Up Sales Plan (Bottom Up Sales Plan) and by item as authorizations are attained. Prepare and present the Growth, Revenue, Sales & Profit (GRSP) as required by Sales Management.

Sales Administrative work (TPM, Pricing Updates, Sales Updates, Customer Complaints, Spend Tracking Forms, Demo scheduling, Buy Docs, Promotional Contracts).


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field

Must have 5+ years recent CPG Sales or Category Development experience with HQ activity.

Computer/software knowledge (proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint Word etc)
Must be comfortable speaking in front of a group and must be willing and able to handle confrontation.

Demonstrated account experience with P&L and/or NSP responsibility

2+ years’ experience with product category/SKU schematic development

Account forecast/demand planning experience for base and promotional volume

Extensive experience utilizing category management and syndicated data information to develop customer specific market/account opportunities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and have strong inter-personal relationship skills

Ability to develop promotional account business plans to achieve growth and profit objectives.

2+ years experience calling on Costco regions 

Physical Requirements:

Ability to obtain valid CA Driver’s License and obtain reliable transportation for business travel

Consistent and reliable attendance

Have ability to work in fast paced, high pressure situations
