Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Insure equipment is operating in a safe and optimal manner, able to efficiently troubleshoot all types of electrical devices, able to read and interpret electrical schematic diagram for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Effectively troubleshoot and repair all equipment in an expert manner.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance efficiently and expertly.
  • Train mechanics in electrical basics and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the areas of industrial electricity and PLC's.
  • Must pass International Society of Automation (ISA) certification or equivalent.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (which includes oral & written skills).
  • Must be able to expertly troubleshoot electrical equipment, repair electrical systems and components.
  • Must fully understand, troubleshoot and potentially repair electrical controls, motors, relays and auxiliary equipment.
  • Must have a good understanding of salient OSHA standards and guidelines.
  • Must have knowledge of A/C variable frequency drives and programmable logic controllers including programming and installation.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to move, climb and work from ladders safely.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces. Must be able to work on wet concrete floors, walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts, overtime and weekends and with minimal supervision.
