Job Description

Purpose of Position:

Under the direction of the department manager, to guide and direct the implementation of all assigned single and multi-function projects of the company while maintaining project site safety, cost control to budget and completion of projects to plan.

Under the direction of the department manager, to guide and direct the structural maintenance and plumbing functions of the company while maintaining high quality work at cost effective prices.

Essential Job Functions:
Guide and direct the efforts of the crew supervisors and contract supervision to the planned completion of single and multi function projects within approved budget guidelines and scheduling constraints. Maintain cost control on project work through careful coordination of schedules, equipment, tools and materials. Coordinate Permit required inspections

Insure adherence to the department/company goals, which have been established to maintain a safe working environment, through:

• Considering safety to be an integral part of the design, repair, and construction of facilities and equipment.
• Monitoring jobs to make sure those safety standards are being met.
Coordinate cost estimates for projects with department manager and/or other appropriate personnel.
Guide and direct the work crews for effective manpower and teamwork development through:
• Assisting in hiring, training, and evaluating personnel.
• Insuring that employees technical skills continue to be developed in these particular disciplines so that existing and future business needs are met efficiently.
• Maintaining a working environment in which positive employer/employee relations motivate the enthusiasm necessary for accomplishing the challenging goals the department is called upon to meet throughout the company.

Qualifications

Requirements:

· Must have BA/BS degree in Construction Management/Project Management or equivalent experience.

· Must have a minimum of 5 years experience managing multi-function projects in the construction field.

· Must have demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and manage employees.

· Must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and leadership skills.

· Must have and maintain a California driver’s license and an acceptable DMV record.
