Job Description

To Supervise, assist, guide and control all aspects of the Pullet/Breeder Crews weekly assigned tasks. 

Responsible for pullet placements, blood sampling, male moves to hen houses and assiting Field Supervisors with male productivity  in breeder flocks; Includes removal of non-productive males from flocks. Train and develop employees in regards to safety, bio-security, animal welfare, and any other tranning needed. Coordinating all flock crew functions and insuring accurate completion. 

Coordinating labor needs and scheduling accordingly, completing wage records and personnel evaluations on all subordinate employees. Administer employee discplinary actions and assist with hiring and firing as needed. 

Maintain good employer/employee relations within area of responsibility.  

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of successful chicken breeder/ grow out experience and/or strong animal science background ( Bachelor of Science Degree in Poultry Science, Ag Business or related field preferred)

Must have strong oral and written communication skills. 

Must have strong leadership/ supervisory skills and ability to act independently and unsupervised. 

Must be able to work flexible work schedules as needed to include weekens, holidays, late evenings and early morning hours. 

Must have good computer skills.

Ability to interface with all support groups, departments and upper management..

Must have an AR Drivers Licence and maintain an acceptable DMV record.

Bilingual English/Spanish helpful
