Job Description

Rate: $16.45/hr

Answer emergency and non-emergency phone calls
Monitor security cameras
Monitor alarm system and dispatch accordingly
Monitor access control systems and imprint access control cards
Use two-way communication radio equipment
Keep records, write reports, perform data entry
Complete any assignment or duty as designated by the Security Supervisor or Corporate Security Manager.
All persons employed or associated with Foster Farms are responsible for the quality and food safety of company products. The food safety and quality policies are summarized and communicated in a company handbook and at training sessions. Each new employee is provided a handbook and attends a food safety training session before beginning work. All employees attend a refresher training session at least once per year. Records are maintained reflecting the distribution of employee handbooks and attendance at the training sessions.
Security Officers are primarily responsible for ensuring that all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed on a consistent basis by regular bag inspections of all employees entering the plant.
Write dispatch job specific procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Qualifications

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations

May be exposed to stressful situations such as challenging individuals who are in or approaching an unauthorized area

Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements and site specific requirements

Directing staff in a positive manner

May be required to work overtime without advance notice

Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently

Keyboarding, basic computer usage and operating controls

Seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly in order to communicate with employees and clients, observe and report incidents, and direct others

Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain

Walking, occasional reaching with your hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling

Frequent lifting and/or moving up to ten pounds, occasional lifting and/or moving up to twenty pounds, and additional lifting and/or moving ability might be required.

Must be able to open facility gates and doors as requires to ensure safe operations.

Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus

Ability to operate a company owned vehicle for the performance of duties

On occasion may be required to perform stressful and physical activities

Depending upon your assignment, you may be exposed to inclement weather or be required to work in different types of environments depending upon duties

Depending upon your assignment, you may be required to work under conditions that require the use of protective equipment and devices and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others.

May be exposed to or required to handle sensitive and confidential information

A normal part of the job is long periods of sitting
