Job Description

Purpose of position:

Preparation of daily and weekly reports used by plant management for analyzing specific performance. Tracking and analysis of product from the packaging floor and outside sources to the further process room. Agri Stat data reporting. Daily and weekly preparation and reconciliation of plant production reports including finished production, inventories, WIP transfers, condemned product. Will be in charge of weekly tracking of energy and water usage.

Essential Job Functions:

Daily and weekly preparation and reconciliation of plant production reports including finished production, WIP inventory, rack inventory, intercompany WIP transfers, intercompany rack transfers, condemned product, production mix file, rotisserie line adjustments.

Daily data entry and reconciliation and analysis of condemn, departmental transfers and other related reports.

Preparation and analysis of weekly plant efficiency and downtime reports for processing, packaging and weigh/price departments.

Weekly preparation and analysis of plant overhead spending reports. Highlighting and researching of any line items in the detail that are out of the norm.

Weekly tracking and analysis of plant water (incoming and effluent), electricity and natural gas usage and rate variances versus budget.

Preparation of miscellaneous journal entries at period end.

Periodic finished product BOM reviews.

Special projects as assigned


Qualifications

High School diploma, some college accounting courses preferred.

Must have one-two years of accounting experience

Ability to work within strict time frames in order to meet deadlines and be able to work independently with a high degree of organization and prioritization skills for a high volume of work.

Strong verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Computer literacy (strong Excel, SAP, CICS, and TRMS) and have ten-key by touch
