• Plan, route and obtain delivery appointments and dispatch all poultry loads shipped.
• Make delivery appointments and schedule drivers and equipment to facilitate the further delivery of backhaul freight.
• Hire outside carriers for all loads not hauled by Foster Farms drivers.
• Schedule the appointments to pick up ad return of all inbound plant suppliers.
• Build outbound poultry loads:                                                                                                      
• Satisfy customers delivery requirements
• Ensure that routes are economically feasible
• Make pick-up and delivery appointments as required                                                                                                 
• Supply carriers to the appropriate shipping facilities as required                             
• Handle delivery problems as required
• Timeliness of pick-ups and deliveries Temperature requirements
  

• High School Graduate with some college preferred

• Two years prior dispatch / load planning experience preferred

• Knowledge of: DOT regulations, U.S. Geography, customer location and travel times, Federal Hours of Service

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work independently in a fast paced
  environment

• Computer literate in Windows environment which includes Outlook, Word
  and Excel (spreadsheets)

• Ability to navigate through SAP is critical

• Minimal travel may be required.
