Job Description

Supervision of equipment installations throughout the entire process. Communication with Plant Maintenance, Contractors, Operations Management and other departments.
Prepare final from conceptual drawings; design equipment/systems to meet the company’s capital improvement needs. Specifically: Develop equipment/ facilities layouts for ongoing capital projects needs including structural, electrical, piping, refrigeration, mechanical and building layouts needed for capital projects. Develop drawings/designs to meet all building codes, safety, and OSHA standards, as well as adhering to good USDA and engineering practices. Provide clear and accurate designs for bidding, fabrications, and construction purposes. Maintain current (latest revision) collection of USDA drawings. Manage multiple ongoing projects.
Develop preliminary proposals for future management decisions.
Ensure that safety is considered as integral part of the design and implementation of all projects.

Hold meetings to inform plant personnel of upcoming project. Schedule meetings with the member of the project team responsible for meeting objectives, including target dates.
Schedule technicians from equipment companies to provide training to plant personnel.
Generate and complete punch lists of outstanding items once a project has completed.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field or 5-8 years experience in the field with Project Management in regards to equipment installation or related employment.
Have knowledge of commonly –used concepts, practices, and procedures within the project management field.
Must have strong knowledge of production equipment and mechanical aptitude.
Developed knowledge of OSHA and USDA requirements.
Experience in Auto CAD to include drafting and designing equipment and facilities.
Exhibit talent for creativity/ innovation.
High level of organizational skills with ability to plan and prioritize work.
Have strong analytical and math background.
Demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work well with others and in a team environment.
Strong computer skills including AutoCAD, MS Office and MS Project.
Some Travel and weekend work will be required
