Purpose of position:

To sell and market ruminant feed Commodities and feed ingredients in the Foster Farms Commodities geographical area.

Essential Job Functions:
Monitor customer inventories – weekly and as needed on-site visual checks of current inventories levels

Coordinate with Logistics and truck drivers – Interaction with CSR and freight handlers to ensure on-time deliveries

Expand business with existing customers – Interaction with customers to provide a full-service of our product lines

Prospect for new accounts, maintain sales and purchase orders – cold calls, provide product offerings – quote bids

Monitor Credit Status of Accounts – update credit requests, maintain credit status, observe potential credit changes

Additional Functions:
Assist other Sales Representative to help cover vacation

Assist Manager with Special Project as required, with vendor relationships and meetings and with product identification and implementation into sales

Requirements:
BS or BA in related field, and must have five to ten years equivalent work experience in Commodity Industry

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing 

Must have strong interpersonal skills

Good mathematical background and possess proficient computer skills 

Able to work independently with limited supervision

Ability to create and maintain successful business relationships

Must have valid CA driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed

Position may require over night travel.
